Bushra’s relationship with VIRCS started in Oct. 2017 as a practicum student with Enable Program. Then she worked as a case manager in the Newcomers Wraparound Support Program, helping Arabic- speaking clients overcome the challenges and barriers of settling in Canada. In 2022, Bushra joined the P2PTE team as Employment Coordinator, assisting youth facing barriers to employment with building their careers and securing their future.
Currently, she works with BC Public Service in the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.
Bushra has a Master’s degree in Leadership and a Diploma in Intercultural Studies from the University of Victoria.
Bushra’s belief of VIRCS’s vision and mission brought her back to assist and help, but as a board member.
