Ava Shabestari
Program Manager, Pathways to Professions, Trades and Entrepreneurship

Ava began her journey with VIRCS as the Enable for Children and Youth Coordinator. She was later appointed Program Manager for Community Programs, where she oversaw a wide range of initiatives supporting children, youth, women, and community support projects.
Currently, Ava leads VIRCS’ federally funded youth employment program, Pathways to Professions, Trades and Entrepreneurship, where she supports immigrant and refugee youth in building meaningful careers through training and mentorship.
As an immigrant herself, Ava is deeply connected to the mission and values of VIRCS. She is passionate about fostering inclusion, collaboration, and cultural understanding, and is committed to empowering diverse communities to thrive.
