Thanks for your interest in volunteering with VIRCS!

Almost anyone can volunteer with VIRCS. We have over 130 volunteer opportunities at VIRCS and are often creating interesting new positions for unique people like you. You may have a lot or a little experience, whatever your background, language, education or skills VIRCS has a volunteer opportunity for you.

We require that all volunteers to be respectful and non-judgmental of different cultures and race.

As a volunteer you can help immigrant or refugee clients in many different ways such as learning to read and write, finding a place to live, or opening a world of opportunities for someone who might otherwise be limited in our community, which to them is a completely foreign environment.

Volunteers contribute in creative and rewarding roles such as: homework tutors, translation, interpretation, multicultural events, festivals, special events, fundraising, office duties, committee members, serving on the Board of Directors and many more opportunities.

Please check out the volunteer areas and then contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 250-361-9433 x.212.

Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society and our clients look forward to working with you.

The Volunteer Program is made possible by donations from the Provincial Employees Community Services Fund, and B.C. Gaming Direct Access.
