Family Friendship Buddy Program |
| |
- For parents of any age with children of any age
| |
Be matched with someone that you can relate to, maybe another parent so your children can have new friends too or maybe you just want a friend for yourself. |
| |
Both these programs offer newcomers the opportunity to be matched up with a volunteer from the community that will be there own personal buddy.
Why:
Because everyone needs a friend! By matching newcomers up with established community members we help bridge the gap between the cultures and provide the basis for fostering friendships, multi cultural understanding and networking opportunities. By providing this personal interaction we hope to create a better understanding between different cultures and create a support system for newcomers to help feel more welcome in our community.
Where: You meet your buddy wherever you want! You can go anywhere that is convenient for both of you.
When:
Every three months a new group starts. You meet with your buddy once a week for minimum an hour. You can meet them at any time that is convenient for both of you. Every month there are at least two group activities planned that will be based on the participant’s interests.
