The Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society offers ESL classes for adults in a friendly, multicultural environment. Our students are immigrants, refugees, and international visitors from all over the world. Our ESL classes take place at our convenient downtown Victoria location.

Daytime Beginner and Intermediate/ Advanced Levels

  • Small class size – ranging from 8 to 14 students
  • Continuous enrolment (students can start at any time, if we have space)
  • Beginner classes are in the morning
  • Intermediate / Advanced classes are in the afternoon
  • Individualized homework programs. Students learn at different rates
  • Lessons include grammar, conversation, Canadian culture, listening, and writing skills as well as guest speakers on relevant topics
  • Flexible tuition fees for international students, permanent residents, Canadian citizens and refugees
  • Professional, experienced teachers
  • Volunteers available to help in the class
